Job Description

TotalEnergies Electricité et Gaz France (TEEGF) is seeking a motivated and dynamic Corporate & Compliance Legal Apprentice to join its legal team in Paris. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a leading global multi-energy company, contributing to both corporate legal affairs and compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review legal documents such as minutes, articles of association, and management reports.
  • Organize and manage meetings for corporate bodies concerning decisions like account approvals and mandate renewals/changes.
  • Handle and monitor legal formalities with commercial court registries.
  • Maintain and update corporate registers.
  • Review and implement inter-group agreements.
  • Monitor and update the company's legal database for TEEGF and its subsidiaries.
  • Provide legal support to operational teams on all corporate law matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft notes, memos, and practical guides related to corporate law.
  • Participate in implementing company compliance policies within the scope.
  • Assist in updating risk mapping and monitoring associated action plans.
  • Contribute to verification and evaluation actions, including compliance questionnaires and analysis of screening tool feedback.
  • Participate in training and awareness sessions for employees on applicable policies and regulations.
  • Assist in processing gifts and invitations received or made in the course of activities.
  • Participate in reviewing and drafting compliance clauses.
  • Draft compliance-related notes, memos, and practical guides.
  • Monitor developments in anti-corruption and economic sanctions legislation.
  • Support the team in designing and deploying digital solutions to optimize legal and compliance processes.

Qualifications

  • Hold a higher legal education, preparing for an M1 or M2 degree in Corporate Law or Business Law.
  • Possess knowledge of compliance matters (e.g., Loi Sapin II) is a plus.
  • Be curious, proactive, organized, persevering, and committed to your work.
  • Be dynamic, possess good interpersonal skills, and strong writing abilities.
  • Enjoy teamwork, be versatile, and open-minded.
  • A first experience in a company or law firm in business/corporate law would be appreciated.
