Renmoney is seeking an enthusiastic Portfolio Intern to join their dynamic team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the financial services sector, focusing on SME portfolio management and data analysis.
As a Portfolio Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Portfolio Management team. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the performance of SME portfolios, preparing essential reports, and analyzing data to identify key trends and opportunities. You will also assist in maintaining accurate records and contributing to the development of business intelligence dashboards.
This position is ideal for a recent graduate eager to build expertise in data analytics, business intelligence, and financial services within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. You will collaborate with various teams, gaining exposure to cross-functional projects and mentorship from experienced professionals.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring the performance of SME portfolios using reports and dashboards.
- Support the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly portfolio performance reports.
- Analyze portfolio data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in maintaining accurate portfolio records and ensuring data integrity.
- Support the creation and maintenance of dashboards using Power BI or other reporting tools.
- Assist with data extraction, cleaning, validation, and reconciliation.
- Conduct research and provide analytical insights to support portfolio management initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Portfolio, Risk, Product, and Operations teams on data-driven projects.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting and business analysis requests.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and confidentiality when handling customer and portfolio data.
Qualifications
- Recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Must have successfully completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
- Strong academic record.
- Previous internship, academic project, or coursework in data analytics, business intelligence, finance, banking, or a related field is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence concepts is beneficial.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Basic understanding of Power BI, SQL, MySQL, or similar reporting tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Data cleaning and validation skills.
- Research and reporting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
