Job Description

Join One Acre Fund as a Nigeria Talent Acquisition Associate and play a crucial role in attracting top talent to our impactful programs. This position is designed for individuals who excel at building relationships and leveraging storytelling to connect with potential candidates in a client-centric environment.

You will be responsible for proactively developing talent pools, enhancing hire quality, and reducing the time-to-hire for the Nigeria program. This involves implementing a comprehensive talent strategy that includes networking, developing young talent initiatives, and engaging in high-value events. You will work closely with the country program to deeply understand their talent needs, becoming a key business partner and a vital contributor to program success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Business Partner Relationship Owner for the Nigeria Program.
  • Integrate closely with the Nigeria program to understand hiring needs.
  • Participate in talent committees and other leadership groups.
  • Actively contribute to forecasting for new hires.
  • Engage with department heads to understand their work ('Go to Gemba').
  • Commit to living in Minna for the full first year.
  • Proactively build talent pools for upcoming open roles through various avenues.
  • Participate in events and networking to build a national contact portfolio.
  • Pursue contacts in diaspora groups to attract talent back to OAF.
  • Identify employers and universities with relevant future skill sets.
  • Manage internship and graduate programs by building relationships with top universities.
  • Reduce reliance on external hiring through intern/graduate conversion.
  • Reduce overall 'Time to Hire' for the Nigeria Program.
  • Improve 'Time it took the successful applicant to apply' by maintaining active talent pools.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability in networking and establishing new contacts.
  • Proven skill in positioning One Acre Fund as an employer of choice.
  • Strong customer service orientation, with an ability to understand and address needs.
  • Aptitude for talent identification, matching customer needs with organizational skillsets.
  • Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity.
  • Experience in people management.
  • Must be a citizen or permanent resident of Nigeria.
