Job Description

Our client, a distinguished multimedia company renowned for its impactful work in film, animation, documentaries, and interactive games, is seeking a proactive and results-driven Human Resources Officer to join their team in Abuja.

This role is integral to supporting the development and implementation of robust HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals and full compliance with Nigerian Labour Laws. You will play a key part in fostering a positive and fair work environment, contributing to healthy employer-employee relations.

Key responsibilities include managing HR administration, maintaining vital documentation and databases, monitoring staff performance and adherence to policies, and coordinating the recruitment and onboarding process. You will also be involved in attendance and leave management, supporting payroll, and contributing to performance reviews and employee development programs.

This is an on-site, full-time position requiring a dedicated individual with a keen interest in advancing their career in Human Resources Management within a mission-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support in the general administration of the HR Department.
  • Distribute all HR-related information to all personnel.
  • Ensure all departmental documentation is up-to-date and stored appropriately.
  • Maintain and update company CV databases and all other HR Department databases.
  • Monitor staff performance and attendance.
  • Monitor adherence to internal and HR policies and standards.
  • Coordinate job posts, review resumes, and perform candidate checks.
  • Manage attendance and leave.
  • Support in updating HR policies to adapt to industry and culture changes.
  • Review employment and working conditions for legal and policy compliance.
  • Support in payroll, raise management, and compensation and benefits administration.
  • Support in managing occurrence/incident reports.
  • Determine the effectiveness and efficiency of HR policies.
  • Ensure the maintenance of HR team calendars.
  • Facilitate the recruitment, onboarding, and exit of all personnel, including interviews.
  • Coordinate performance reviews and evaluations.
  • Provide solutions and recommendations for personnel management.
  • Facilitate personnel management, retention, and growth through training and development programs.
  • Prepare reports with statistical data, as assigned.
  • Support in the retention of current personnel.
  • Clarify issues or concerns arising from personnel regarding the company’s HR policies and procedures.
  • Respond to and proffer solutions to HR-related matters and queries.
  • Advise on all corrective or disciplinary actions and support in implementing them.
  • Provide recommendations for maintaining a fair and safe workplace.
  • Support in advising on all Human Resources initiatives, systems, and strategies.
  • Support in handling employee grievances and invoking disciplinary measures.
  • Perform other HR duties as may be required by HR Associates and Management.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field, OR a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Certifications in Human Resources Management are an advantage.
