Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources & Admin Officer to join a leading strategic communications and public relations agency headquartered in Lagos.
This role is crucial for supporting the day-to-day people and office operations, ensuring smooth HR processes, accurate documentation, and statutory compliance. You will work closely with the Finance Manager to maintain an efficient and well-organized office environment, essential as the agency continues to grow its operations across Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Key responsibilities include managing the full recruitment cycle, preparing employment documentation, maintaining confidential staff records, coordinating onboarding, and tracking HR administrative processes. You will also assist with payroll inputs, ensure HR practices align with Nigerian employment regulations, and handle general office administration, including vendor coordination and procurement.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a similar role. A strong understanding of Nigerian labour law, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace are essential. A professional HR certification is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end recruitment: job postings, CV screening, interview scheduling, and reference checks.
- Prepare and manage employment documentation, including offer letters, contracts, and onboarding packs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential staff records, including personnel files, leave records, and the staff database.
- Coordinate onboarding and induction for new hires, ensuring a smooth first-week experience.
- Track staff leave, attendance, and other HR administrative processes.
- Support the performance appraisal cycle, including scheduling, documentation, and consolidation of review data.
- Assist with payroll administration inputs (attendance, leave, deductions) in coordination with Finance.
- Ensure HR practices comply with the Labour Act, NDPA 2023, Pension Reform Act 2014, and other applicable Nigerian employment regulations.
- Manage day-to-day office administration, including vendor coordination, procurement of office supplies, and facilities upkeep.
- Support the Finance & Administration Manager with HMO administration, staff welfare processes, and exit/clearance procedures.
- Handle general correspondence, filing, and administrative support for the leadership team as required.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive staff and company information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in an HR & Administration role, ideally within a fast-paced services, agency, or corporate environment.
- Working knowledge of Nigerian labour law and statutory HR compliance requirements.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace; familiarity with HR software or payroll systems is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of discretion, integrity, and sound judgement in handling confidential matters.
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
- A professional HR certification (e.g. CIPM, CIPD) is an advantage but not mandatory.
