Job Description

Trans Afam Power Ltd is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Officer to join our team.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of HR operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of our workforce and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, handling queries, salary adjustments, and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates, while coordinating with hiring managers.
  • Oversee employee onboarding and orientation processes, coordinating new hire paperwork and pre-employment checks for seamless integration.
  • Maintain employee data (headcount, new hires, terminations) and update HR systems, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual HR reports.
  • Assist with employee communications and the organization of company-wide announcements.
  • Coordinate the performance appraisal process, assist with goal setting, and monitor individual development plans.
  • Liaise with external bodies and service providers such as health maintenance organizations, group life insurance agencies, and recruitment agencies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a first degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, or any other related discipline.
  • Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., Nigerian Institute of Training and Development - NITAD, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management - CIPM, Society for Human Resource Management - SHRM) is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of cognate experience in a similar role.
