Generation Capital Limited is seeking an experienced Lead Accountant to manage our financial operations and ensure accuracy in reporting.

This role is crucial for overseeing financial statements, supervising ledger activities, leading loan accounting processes, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements and management reports.
Supervise and review general ledger activities, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
Lead loan accounting processes, including loan disbursements.
Conduct periodic financial audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory reports (e.g., VAT, SCUML, and other compliance requirements).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Minimum of 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in financial services.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Experience with loan accounting and portfolio management is highly preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
