Job Description
Goonite (NG) Hygiene Product FZE, a prominent FMCG manufacturer, is seeking a Logistics Support Officer to enhance their supply chain operations in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.
This role is crucial for onboarding credible transporters, developing efficient logistics processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of shipments. The Logistics Support Officer will be responsible for understanding truck requirements, managing bookings, and addressing transit issues to meet expected arrival times.
Key duties include staying abreast of rate fluctuations, collaborating with Sales Managers to optimize shipping routes, and developing safety policies to minimize workplace accidents. Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders regarding shipment concerns is also a core responsibility.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the FMCG industry, particularly with diaper and sanitary pad companies, and possess strong reporting, communication, and analytical skills.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Onboard credible transporters with emphasis on cost reduction/control
- Develop logistics processes, SOPs, and structures
- Understand the types and qualities of trucks required for shipment
- Follow up with transporters on truck bookings and transit issues
- Ensure expected time of arrivals are met and trucks offload without shortages
- Understand parameters affecting rate fluctuation and stay abreast of location-based rates
- Collaborate with Sales Managers to optimize shipping routes
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to reduce workplace accidents
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders on shipment concerns
Qualifications
- HND or BSc in any related field
- 1–2 years' working experience in a similar role
- Must have worked in FMCG industry, preferably diaper & sanitary pad companies
- Excellent reporting skills
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Must reside at Ibeju Lekki/Eleko/Akodo
