Job Description

The Curve Africa by Kora is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Growth & Partnerships to spearhead our expansion efforts. This role is crucial for broadening our influence, securing vital funding, and extending our reach across new regions and programs. You will be instrumental in building and nurturing key relationships with corporate partners, foundations, educational institutions, and other ecosystem players.

Your primary focus will be on developing and executing a robust partnerships strategy, identifying new growth opportunities, and supporting our fundraising initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute The Curve’s partnerships strategy across corporates, foundations, universities, and ecosystem organizations.
  • Secure long-term, value-aligned partnerships that support funding, mentorship pipelines, and program delivery.
  • Lead senior-level sponsor and partner relationship management.
  • Identify and evaluate new growth opportunities, including geographic expansion and digital program development.
  • Design scalable partnership models for program delivery.
  • Support fundraising strategy through partner proposals and strategic funding conversations.
  • Translate The Curve’s impact into compelling narratives for partners and stakeholders.
  • Represent The Curve at high-level events and forums.
  • Build relationships with key ecosystem influencers, founders, and leaders.
  • Provide strategic input into program direction based on partner and ecosystem insights.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in partnerships, business development, ecosystem building, strategy, or growth roles.
  • Strong understanding of partnership development, stakeholder engagement, and cross-sector collaboration.
  • Proven ability to build and manage senior relationships with corporates, institutions, funders, and ecosystem leaders.
  • Confident in leading external conversations and representing an organization.
  • Excellent writing and documentation skills (proposals, partnership decks, concept notes, reports, strategic briefs).
  • Strong organizational and tracking skills; ability to manage pipelines and follow-through.
  • Experience working within high-growth, mission-driven, or ecosystem-led environments is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to fundraising, sponsorships, CSR partnerships, or institutional collaborations is an advantage.
  • Strong strategic thinking ability.
  • Comfortable working across geographies and cultures.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and credibility.
