Required Skills

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and business applications including Office 365 and email.
• Manage user accounts, password resets, and access provisioning.
• Log, track, and resolve all incidents and service requests within defined SLA response and resolution windows.
• Deliver onsite support for critical incidents and scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Administer and monitor Windows and Linux servers including patching, performance tuning, and system availability.
• Manage and monitor internet connectivity, ensuring seamless failover and uptime continuity.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and coordinate with ISPs and vendors for resolution.
• Manage firewall configurations and secure VPN access.
• Monitor daily on-premise server backup jobs and ensure successful completion.
• Execute periodic manual backups to external hard drives.
• Conduct monthly restore verification exercises to confirm backup integrity and recoverability.
• Provide basic data protection advisory to company' stakeholders.
• Administer endpoint protection tools including antivirus and EPP/EDR solutions.
• Conduct periodic vulnerability scans and follow up on remediation activities.
• Enforce security controls including least privilege access, password policies, and MFA enablement.
• Participate in incident response activities in line with approved playbooks.
• Maintain and update the IT asset register including hardware inventory, procurement records, and disposal recommendations.
• Coordinate with hardware vendors on warranties and service obligations.
• Contribute to monthly SLA reports covering system availability, patch compliance, backup outcomes, and incident metrics.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation of system configurations, network topology, and support procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a systems administration or IT support role.
• Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux administration and Active Directory management.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall management.
• Practical experience managing ISP connectivity and failover configurations, particularly with Starlink and mobile broadband solutions.
• Experience with backup and recovery operations including external drive rotation procedures.
• Familiarity with endpoint protection platforms such as SOPHOS or Fortinet.
• ITIL Foundation certification is required.
• MCSE, CCNA, or CompTIA Network+ certification is a strong advantage.
