Key Responsibilities
- Achieve gross sales objectives by maintaining and developing an assigned key account list.
- Establish measurable yearly goals and targets for distribution and volume, guided by the Regional Sales Manager.
- Effectively utilize sales tools to foster business growth, identify new opportunities, secure new placements, and monitor key initiatives.
- Maintain an accurate yearly promotional calendar across all relevant channels.
- Conduct regular business reviews with customers, recommending mutually beneficial opportunities for profitable sales.
- Identify potential threats and opportunities in competing categories that could impact sales volume, market share, trade efficiencies, and company profitability.
- Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with key buyers, decision-makers, and broker partners at assigned key accounts.
- Process and submit new item paperwork and promotional submission forms under the supervision of the Regional Sales Manager.
- Manage sales forecasting and deductions through the internal Trade Promotion Management system.
- Prepare and submit monthly sales reports and other assigned reports to the Regional Manager in a timely manner.
- Support sales meetings by editing presentation decks, analyzing data, coordinating sample requests, and sending follow-up communications.
- Assist in selling additional merchandising to bolster trade promotions.
- Aid in the setup and execution of customer trade shows.
- Be available to travel within the assigned territory for internal and customer-focused sales meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Sales, Analyst, Marketing, and/or general business.
- Possess strong detail orientation, clear writing, and editing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt and maintain self-motivation with ease.
- Proven problem-solving skills and a creative mindset, capable of utilizing both data and intuition for informed decision-making.
- Familiarity with the consumer goods industry and an understanding of its challenges and opportunities (desirable).
- Maintain a positive and upbeat outlook (desirable).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (desirable).
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and consistently exceed deadlines (desirable).
