Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Junior Architect to join our team and contribute to the planning and development of architectural projects.

In this role, you will work closely with senior architects, assisting in the creation of building designs, compiling essential project documentation, and preparing cost estimates.

Your responsibilities will include producing basic technical drawings, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring adherence to design standards and building codes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing architectural drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Support the project team in the coordination of design and construction activities.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and building codes.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve design and construction issues.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for project meetings.
  • Assist in the review of shop drawings, materials, and construction methods for compliance with design intent.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction best practices.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide input on design and construction matters.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and project schedules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or any related field.
  • 0-3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Internship or previous experience in a construction or architectural firm.
  • Basic understanding of fundamental engineering principles of architectural design, including space planning, form, function, aesthetics, and usability.
  • Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools.
  • Basic knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and other regulations.
  • Ability to produce precise and accurate basic technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement.
  • Knowledge of project management software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with sustainable construction practices.
