Job Description

Beacon Power Services (BPS) is launching its 12-month Graduate Training Program, a structured initiative designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders within Africa's rapidly evolving energy sector.

This program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience by rotating through two distinct business functions, providing comprehensive exposure to BPS's operational landscape. Upon successful completion, high-performing trainees will be considered for permanent roles, reflecting our commitment to developing high-potential individuals.

As a Graduate Trainee, your responsibilities will be dynamic, adapting to your assigned department. You will be expected to deliver operational tasks, support research and analysis, actively participate in meetings and training, and progressively take ownership of your work. Maintaining a strong work ethic, seeking feedback, and fostering a collaborative team environment are key to your success.

Qualifications

  • Graduates who have already completed their National Youth Service (NYSC) and are under 26 years old
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Relevant degree disciplines include: Computer Science / IT, Data Science, Business Administration, Finance / Accounting, Human Resources / Organizational Psychology, Electrical Engineering, Communications / Multimedia / Marketing, ESG / Sustainability
  • Curious, proactive, and willing to learn beyond your area of study
  • Able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Communicates clearly and professionally, both written and verbally
  • Takes ownership of tasks, follows through, and flags issues early
  • Works effectively with others, including across teams and locations
  • Demonstrated interest in energy, utilities, or technology (through projects, internships, or activities)
  • Any prior experience (internship, volunteer work, or short-term roles)
  • Basic familiarity with data tools, coding, or analytical software
  • Fluency in French
