Canary Holdco is seeking a strategic and impactful Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join their dynamic team in Lekki, Lagos.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategy and plans to support overall strategic goals, including budget and resource management.
  • Develop and embed the employee value proposition and employment brand in line with corporate strategy.
  • Ensure company values and culture are clearly defined and embraced.
  • Provide professional advice on policy development and ensure adherence to HR policies.
  • Work with staff, senior management, and executives to identify emerging issues and develop solutions.
  • Coordinate HR unit employee communication strategies.
  • Build and strengthen staff competencies through learning and development initiatives.
  • Drive capability building and learning to address gaps and foster a learning culture.
  • Develop and deliver leadership development programs.
  • Develop and implement employee wellness initiatives and strategies.
  • Deliver regular management reports to executives and the Managing Director.
  • Present HR initiative proposals to senior management and executives.
  • Manage employment risks and advise on employee performance issues.
  • Drive and monitor workforce performance, providing insightful reports and feedback.
  • Ensure management accountability in the performance management system and incorporate necessary changes.
  • Oversee the provision of ongoing performance management information and training for managers and staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A recognized HR certification such as SHRM, CIPM, or HRCI is preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in executive support roles, with proven exposure to HR business partnering, talent management, and organizational development.
