Job Description
Fortanix is a leader in data-centric cybersecurity, empowering businesses to protect their sensitive information across hybrid multicloud environments. We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru, India.
In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, reliable, and secure CI/CD pipelines. Your responsibilities will include creating detailed architecture diagrams, automating development and deployment processes, and defining security best practices to ensure application security from the earliest stages.
You will collaborate closely with development, QA, and security teams, continuously optimizing our technology stack and mentoring fellow engineers. This is an opportunity to contribute to a culture of innovation and help shape the future of data security.

Key Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure CI/CD pipelines.
- Creating detailed architecture diagrams, documentation, and standards for DevOps processes and tools.
- Automating and accelerating the development, testing, release and deployment of applications into a runtime environment quickly and reliably.
- Contributing to defining security best-practices to guarantee application security at the earliest stages of development.
- Designing and managing a decoupled environment to support application and infrastructure development independently.
- Continuously assessing and optimizing the technology stack to ensure alignment with industry best practices and emerging trends.
- Collaborating with development, QA , and security teams to ensure DevOps processes support application and testing needs.
- Mentoring fellow engineers in the team in gaining experience and assuming DevOps responsibilities.
- Contributing to a friendly and helpful company culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- 4+ years of DevOps engineering experience.
- Solid experiences with - Jenkins, Ubuntu, Kubernetes, Cassandra, Shell and Python scripting.
- Experience with the core suite of tools used to manage infrastructure and deployment of application in different cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Experience with industry Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery patterns (CI/CD)
- Strong networking experience with technologies in TCP/IP, WAN, Gateways, Switching/Routing and Cloud Networking.
- Experience with one or more of: Virtualization or container environments like VMWare, KVM and Docker, Infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Configuration and provisioning management tools like Chef and Ansible, Monitoring tools such as Observe, Sensu and Prometheus, Logging and analytics tools like Elasticsearch
- Preferred technical experience: Jenkins, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, Chef, Terraform, Sensu, Python, Go, Rust, Elasticsearch, Cassandra.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
