We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer Contractor to join our dynamic team. This role offers end-to-end engineering ownership, where you will design, build, and maintain scalable solutions across UI, APIs, and backend systems. You will translate product requirements into production-ready systems, owning features from concept through to monitoring.

Your responsibilities will include building responsive, high-performance user interfaces with modern JavaScript frameworks, optimizing applications for speed and scalability, and developing robust backend services and APIs. You will work across monolith and microservices architectures, maintaining legacy systems while building modern infrastructure. Quality and engineering standards are paramount, involving automated testing, code reviews, and proactive troubleshooting.

Collaboration is key, as you'll work within cross-functional teams and mentor less experienced engineers. We are looking for candidates with strong full-stack experience, proven backend expertise in PHP (Laravel), and advanced JavaScript skills. Experience with MySQL, NoSQL databases, microservices, event-driven systems, cloud environments (GCP), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines is essential. Experience in eCommerce platforms is desirable.

This is a UK remote role, requiring you to be based in the UK with full right to work. The day rate is £450-£650, dependent on experience. Please confirm your outside IR35 day rate upon application. This is a 2.5-month contract until the end of August.
