Job Description

Keywords Studios, a global leader in technical and creative services for the video game industry, is seeking passionate and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Video Game Testers in Bengaluru. We partner with the world’s leading game developers to deliver exceptional gaming experiences, and you will play a crucial role in this mission.

As a Video Game Tester, you will be at the forefront of quality assurance, meticulously playing pre-release and live-operations video games across all current platforms. Your primary objective will be to identify, report, and regress bugs, directly contributing to the enhancement of game quality before public release.

Key Responsibilities

Review game design and requirements documents to develop comprehensive test plans.
Execute and update assigned test cases according to instructions and timelines.
Identify and report functionality bugs across various game platforms.
Utilize JIRA, the company's issue tracking system, to log and manage reported issues.
Write all bug reports in conformance with internal standards and project-specific requirements.
Update all bug databases with accurate and complete information.
Work closely with the production team to prioritize identified issues.
Collaborate with product teams and designers to thoroughly understand quality assurance requirements.
Work independently with minimal guidance while managing tasks effectively.
Work as a dedicated member of a project team assigned to test specific games.
Collaborate closely with other team members to share, discuss, and clarify issues essential for effective project execution.
Complete all assigned tasks according to instructions and established timelines.
Perform all tasks in strict compliance with information security policies and quality standards.
Identify and help implement opportunities for improvement in security, quality, and process controls.

Qualifications

An avid gamer with high proficiency in gameplay across various platforms.
Exceptional attention to detail, capable of spotting subtle issues.
Strong critical thinking skills to effectively identify and analyze bugs in games.
Good written communication skills, enabling clear and concise description of identified issues.
Proficiency in the usage of standard software and tools on PC and the internet.
Effective time management skills to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
A genuine passion for console, mobile, and PC games.
A strong desire to work in a creative and innovative environment.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
Flexibility to adapt to changes in customer/project requirements and instructions, including working according to applicable shift-timings.
0 to 6 months of experience in QA testing of software, iPhone, or iPad applications.
Qualified with a B.Tech / B.E. / Any Graduation (specifically if a gamer).
A Testing Course / ISTQB certification would be considered an added advantage.
