Job Description

Dutum is actively seeking a skilled QA/QC Engineer to join their team in Abuja, Nigeria, and contribute to the successful execution of construction projects.

This role is essential for ensuring that all construction activities meet stringent quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance and control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain project quality assurance and quality control procedures.
Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities for compliance.
Review material submissions, test results, and inspection reports.
Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
Prepare quality reports and maintain accurate documentation.
Liaise with project teams, consultants, and regulatory authorities on quality matters.
Ensure construction works comply with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the construction industry.
COREN certification is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, construction standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Experience in conducting inspections, audits, testing, and quality compliance reviews.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality documentation/reporting tools.
Excellent analytical, reporting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to reside and work in Abuja.
