Job Description

Avomind is seeking an exceptional Senior QA Engineer to join their Core Platform team. This role is designed for a highly adaptable and detail-oriented professional who can expertly manage critical, time-sensitive quality assurance tasks with minimal oversight.

You will be responsible for taking ownership of the most crucial quality assurance challenges, often with short notice, and driving them to successful resolution. Success in this role hinges on your ability to demonstrate genuine flexibility, sound judgment under pressure, and an uncompromising attention to detail.

Your deep functional knowledge across various product domains, including Onboarding, Payments, PSP, Trading, Loyalty, and Operations, will be essential. You will act as a trusted quality specialist, capable of quickly understanding risks and delivering confident outcomes.

Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with engineering teams to refine the automation strategy, ensuring it focuses on high-risk, business-critical paths rather than mere coverage metrics. This includes providing hands-on test support for front-end, back-end, user workflows, performance, and security aspects.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of critical, time-sensitive quality assurance tasks with minimal ramp-up.
Operate with autonomy and sound judgment to manage mission-critical work end-to-end.
Apply rigorous attention to detail to identify edge cases, subtle regressions, and failure modes.
Build and deepen functional expertise across Core Platform domains (Onboarding, Payments, PSP, Trading, Loyalty, Operations).
Act as a go-to reference on product behavior and quality risk for engineering, product, and operations partners.
Translate domain expertise into a sharper automation strategy, focusing on genuinely valuable automation.
Partner with engineering to ensure automated coverage targets business-critical paths.
Provide hands-on test support across front-end, back-end, user workflows, performance, and security.

Qualifications

Highly adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity; able to switch focus and context at short notice.
Trustworthy and self-directed; capable of owning mission-critical work end-to-end.
Uncompromising attention to detail.
Strong, collaborative team player who builds trust quickly across functions.
Sound judgment under time pressure; calm and methodical when priorities shift.
Proven experience (5+ years) in QA or quality engineering, ideally on a trading app, brokerage, or comparable fintech product.
Demonstrated ability to rapidly build deep functional knowledge of complex products and become a credible subject-matter expert.
Strong product thinking: able to reason about user workflows, business impact, and quality risk.
Experience testing across infrastructure (k8s), front-end (mobile or web), and back-end (API) surfaces.
Ability to critically evaluate and help shape an automation strategy.
Working familiarity with a stack like Go-based back-end services, Flutter mobile front-end, RESTful APIs, and a micro-services architecture.
Comfortable with test automation concepts and frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, issue tracking, version control, and SQL/NoSQL/Kafka data validation.
Able to perform high-level impact analysis and define pragmatic test approaches.
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain quality risk clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Open to on-site (UAE) or remote candidates; remote applicants must be able to work core hours aligned with the UAE region.
Experience working on a B2C trading or investing product (Desirable).
Exposure across multiple fintech domains (Payments, PSP, Onboarding, Trading, Loyalty, Operations) (Desirable).
Experience in a regulated financial-services environment (Desirable).
