Job Description
three+one is actively searching for a visionary Vice President of Marketing to spearhead and expand our marketing operations. This is a critical leadership role designed for a seasoned professional ready to drive growth within the State, Local, and Education (SLED) market.
As our VP of Marketing, you will be instrumental in crafting and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy. Your responsibilities will span demand generation, brand development, sales enablement, and event management, all while building the essential systems, team, and processes to support sustained growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive lead generation strategy for new customer acquisition and account expansion.
- Build scalable inbound and outbound lead generation and nurturing programs.
- Design and implement Account-Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns for high-value target accounts.
- Continuously optimize marketing channels, messaging, and lead attribution models to maximize pipeline and ROI.
- Partner closely with sales leadership to ensure tight alignment between marketing programs and revenue goals.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing marketing team, fostering ownership and continuous improvement.
- Provide day-to-day coaching and performance management for the outbound prospecting team.
- Engage and manage contractors, agencies, and external partners to extend team capacity.
- Spearhead the setup, optimization, and ongoing evolution of the GTM tech stack (e.g., HubSpot, Starbridge).
- Introduce workflow automation, scalable processes, and robust reporting and dashboards.
- Leverage data-driven insights to evaluate performance, identify gaps, and improve marketing effectiveness.
- Own and manage the marketing budget, ensuring disciplined spend aligned to business priorities.
- Create, write, and publish authoritative content to establish domain expertise and thought leadership.
- Build a structured, scalable content engine that drives traffic and demand.
- Own and evolve the brand strategy, including voice, storytelling, messaging, and visual identity.
- Ensure consistent, compelling brand expression across all channels and customer touchpoints.
- Build, execute, and scale a best-in-class event marketing model.
- Contribute to sales enablement and productivity through high-impact collateral and resources.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, and partnerships teams to develop integrated GTM strategies.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, with significant experience in startup or high-growth environments.
- Proven track record of scaling marketing functions alongside company growth.
- Prior experience in a private equity–backed company strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of SLED markets, with K–12 experience a plus.
- Demonstrated success driving measurable revenue impact and pipeline growth.
- Hands-on experience with modern marketing automation, CRM, and GTM technology stacks (e.g., HubSpot).
- Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Workspace.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Receptive to feedback and focused on continuous improvement.
