Job Description

Do you possess a genuine passion for plants and gardening, coupled with a preference for working in outdoor environments? The Simply Set team is thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for you.

Simply Set is an integral part of a family-owned wholesale grower renowned for its extensive selection of seasonal products, including a wide variety of annuals, perennials, and vegetables. We collaborate closely with major retail partners, ensuring the consistent supply of high-volume, premium plant material while upholding the highest standards of customer service.

The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation of plant knowledge and practical, hands-on experience. You should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team setting, and possess strong customer service acumen. A commitment to adhering to management directives and effectively executing client initiatives is paramount for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Display, merchandise, and maintain live plant products in large garden center environments.
  • Train and support other associates on procedures, displays, and proper watering practices.
  • Engage with customers and provide assistance as needed.
  • Work across multiple store locations when required.
  • Collaborate effectively with store personnel to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Team Lead and promptly report any special requests or needs.

Qualifications

  • Reliable transportation with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Saturday work is required.
  • During peak season, employees may also be required to work holidays.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs. as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Smartphone required.
  • Must be able to take photos during each store visit and submit them to the Team Lead.
