Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer to lead operational excellence and drive strategic growth within Nigeria's burgeoning agro-industrial sector.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies aligned with the company vision and market demands
Oversee all manufacturing operations, quality control, supply chain management, and production planning
Lead cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, procurement, and technical services departments
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency and profitability
Ensure compliance with Nigerian regulatory requirements, food safety standards, and environmental regulations
Drive digital transformation initiatives and implement modern agricultural technologies.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, suppliers, distributors, and government agencies
Develop and execute business continuity plans and risk management strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in agro-manufacturing, food processing, or related industries.
Proven track record of managing large-scale operations with annual revenues exceeding ₦5 billion
Deep understanding of Nigerian agricultural value chains, market dynamics, and regulatory environment
Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost management, and P&L responsibility
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies
