As we continue to expand our presence in Nigeria, we are seeking a dedicated Recruiter to spearhead our local hiring initiatives. If you are passionate about people, possess a strong drive for operational excellence, and have a proven ability to build scalable hiring systems, we would be delighted to connect with you.
In this role, you will lead the entire recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening candidates to managing the onboarding process. You will also be responsible for building and managing a local recruitment team, including freelance recruiters and sourcing specialists, and collaborating closely with our sales and operations teams to translate hiring needs into effective recruitment strategies.
Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining robust candidate pipelines for common roles such as customer service, virtual assistants, and sales representatives. You will oversee local hiring compliance, provide guidance on best practices in employment standards, and implement and optimize ATS tools, assessments, and scorecards to ensure consistent candidate evaluation. Maintaining key hiring KPIs, including time to fill, quality of hire, and candidate satisfaction, will be crucial for success.

- Lead end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, screening, and onboarding.
- Build and manage a local recruitment team, including freelance recruiters and sourcing specialists as needed.
- Collaborate with the sales and operations team to understand hiring needs and translate them into effective recruitment strategies.
- Create and maintain candidate pipelines for common roles (e.g., customer service, virtual assistants, sales reps, etc.).
- Oversee local hiring compliance and advise on best practices in employment standards.
- Implement and optimize ATS tools, assessments, and scorecards to ensure consistent candidate evaluation.
- Maintain key hiring KPIs (time to fill, quality of hire, candidate satisfaction).
- Represent the company at local job fairs or networking events, when relevant.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of recruitment experience, preferably in high-volume or international settings.
- Based in Nigeria with deep knowledge of the US labor market and talent pools.
- Exceptional English, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team or contractors/freelancers.
- Familiarity with ATS platforms (Jazz preferred).
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- A bias toward action and the ability to work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
- Ability to work EST.
