Job Description
DeepSource Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Security Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing the organization's network security infrastructure.
You will be responsible for deep technical work on F5 advanced WAF, including identifying and cleaning up unused IP addresses on F5 BIG-IP load balancers to boost performance and manageability. A key part of your role will involve reviewing, validating, and removing unused, duplicate, or obsolete firewall policies across data centers while ensuring security posture and compliance.
The position also requires performing comprehensive network and security assessments, analyzing dependencies, and classifying firewall rules and DNS entries based on criticality. You will develop detailed cleanup and migration plans, design and allocate private IP address ranges, and assess DNS records to identify and remove outdated entries.
Execution of cleanup and migration activities will be performed in a secure, controlled, and auditable manner, coordinating with various teams to align firewall rules, NAT, routing, and DNS. Post-change testing and validation are essential to confirm service availability and performance. You will also establish periodic review procedures for configurations and maintain comprehensive documentation for all activities, supporting audit and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform deep technical work on F5 advanced WAF.
- Identify and clean up unused or orphaned IP addresses on F5 BIG-IP load balancers.
- Review, validate, and remove unused, duplicate, or obsolete firewall policies.
- Ensure firewall and load balancer changes align with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) requirements.
- Perform comprehensive assessments of devices, applications, databases, and network components.
- Analyze application, service, and security dependencies.
- Classify firewall rules and DNS-related entries based on criticality, usage, and business relevance.
- Develop detailed cleanup and migration plans, including sequencing, timelines, backups, and rollback procedures.
- Design and allocate private IP address ranges.
- Assess and analyze DNS records to identify unused, outdated, or invalid entries.
- Remove or update invalid, obsolete, or unnecessary DNS records.
- Execute cleanup and migration activities in a secure, controlled, and auditable manner.
- Coordinate with application, systems, SOC, and operations teams.
- Perform post-change testing and validation.
- Establish periodic review procedures for firewall rules, F5 configurations, IP addressing, and DNS records.
- Ensure cleanup activities do not negatively impact applications, services, or end users.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all activities.
- Support audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with firewalls (NGFW), security policies, NAT, and access control management.
- Proven expertise in F5 BIG-IP (LTM), including VIPs, Self IPs, SNATs, and HA configurations.
- Solid understanding of enterprise IP addressing, DNS, routing, and network security architecture.
- Experience operating in HQ / DR, high-availability, and mission-critical environments.
- Strong knowledge of change management, rollback planning, and risk mitigation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Preferred).
- Certifications such as CCNP Security, F5-CA/CTS, NSE, or equivalent (Highly Preferred).
