Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Travel Risk Specialist to integrate into a Global Security & Resiliency (GSR) team. This role is designed to support a multinational organization by managing its daily travel risk advisory needs.
Your primary focus will be on delivering consistent, high-quality pre-travel risk assessments and guidance. You will assist employees traveling to higher-risk and complex destinations, particularly across the EMEA region, including areas like Pakistan, Central Asia, and the Caucasus. This position is fundamentally delivery-focused and advisory in nature, requiring you to operate effectively within an established security framework.
You will support a high volume of travel requests, acting as a reliable extension of the regional security function. This involves conducting thorough risk assessments, providing clear and practical advice based on destination risks and traveler profiles, and supporting the organization's formal travel approval processes with timely risk input.
Furthermore, you will contribute to destination risk summaries and traveler briefing materials, while also supporting the regional GSR function with day-to-day travel security activities. You'll help manage a high volume of requests efficiently and ensure all travel advice aligns with existing policies and standards. Monitoring travel patterns to flag emerging issues will also be a key responsibility.
Leveraging internal reporting and external intelligence sources will be crucial for informing your assessments. You will synthesize geopolitical, security, and health intelligence into traveler-friendly guidance and escalate significant incidents or intelligence developments through agreed channels. Acting as a point of contact for travelers seeking guidance and coordinating with internal security and travel management teams will be essential.
You will also liaise with approved external providers, such as medical and security assistance companies, to support traveler safety. Continuous improvement is encouraged, so you will support the ongoing refinement of travel risk processes and templates, identify practical improvements for efficiency, and contribute to lessons-learned discussions following incidents.
