Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and skilled HR Advisor to join our dedicated Human Resources team. In this vital role, you will offer expert guidance and support across a comprehensive spectrum of employee relations and HR initiatives, ensuring our workforce is well-supported, engaged, and fully compliant with all pertinent employment legislation.

The standard working hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support on all aspects of employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and performance management.
  • Offer assistance and support with recruitment for hourly paid roles including posting of roles, issuing of contracts and onboarding new starters.
  • Maintain Time and Attendance systems, managing employee absence and conducting absence meetings where appropriate.
  • Support with the preparation and processing of payroll.
  • Advise on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reports.
  • Contribute to HR projects aimed at improving employee experience and organisational effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience within a HR role, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships at all levels within an organisation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to all levels of staff.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
