Are you a driven and confident sales professional with a passion for the life sciences? SPT Labtech invites you to join our dynamic team as a Regional Sales Specialist for Liquid Handling. In this pivotal remote role, you will be responsible for achieving annual sales targets for our innovative Apricot branded liquid handling product line across the entire East Coast territory of the United States.
No two days will be the same as you engage in product demonstrations, proactive outbound lead generation, and essential post-sales support. You will thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with multiple territory and key account managers, while independently managing your sales pipeline from end to end. This role offers the unique opportunity to solve complex customer problems and play a key part in the launch of exciting new Apricot products.

Key Responsibilities
- Present the company's history, culture, strategy, and capabilities effectively.
- Develop and execute a focused East Coast US sales strategy leveraging customer data, with clear, measurable objectives.
- Prioritize work time efficiently to achieve both personal and company goals.
- Implement company priorities regarding products and market strategies.
- Manage and develop all sales opportunities, balancing different product lines and collaborating with product specialists.
- Build consultative relationships and become a trusted advisor to customers through a structured commercial approach focused on proposing optimal solutions.
- Position SPT solutions within end-user workflows, clearly explaining benefits using all available communication tools (website, brochures, presentations, application notes, videos).
- Maintain a perfect command of products and services, proposing global solutions through cross-selling the entire product range.
- Ensure application knowledge is maintained at an optimal level through continuous learning and support functions (training, e-learning).
- Take responsibility for CRM data accuracy and management.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated drive, tenacity, and a strong desire to achieve sales targets.
- Proven resilience and a growth mindset, with confidence in presentations and humility for continuous learning.
- A self-starter attitude, comfortable with territory ownership and accountability for results.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite, with preferred working knowledge of CRM systems like Salesforce.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including persuasive and expositive abilities.
- Ability to deliver effective formal and informal product presentations to diverse audiences, including scientists, managers, and executives.
- Preferred knowledge of the laboratory environment and sales cycle dynamics.
- Ability to interact ethically and professionally within the scientific community.
- Capability to operate safely within various laboratory environments.
- Strong ability to effectively and independently manage time and workload within an assigned regional territory.
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a Life Science discipline; a background in Genomics or Protein Crystallography is advantageous.
- Required education and/or experience in sales.
- Ability to travel regularly within the assigned East Coast region, ideally located in key areas such as Boston, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn necessary scientific terminology to proficiently sell into the laboratory market.
