Job Description

Avant-Tech is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead our Human Resources operations from our Ikeja, Lagos office.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment of engineers and technical staff to managing employee relations and ensuring compliance with all Nigerian labor laws. You will align HR strategies with the company's business objectives, fostering a productive and compliant work environment.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating workforce planning, managing payroll and statutory remittances, driving performance management, and handling employee relations. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact within a dynamic engineering firm.

Key Responsibilities

Manage recruitment for engineers, project managers, site workers, and technical staff
Coordinate workforce planning and project-based staff deployment
Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws and statutory requirements
Oversee payroll, HMO administration, and statutory remittances
Drive performance management and KPI implementation
Handle employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace discipline

Qualifications

B.Sc./HND in HR, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum 6+ years HR experience within engineering, construction, or manufacturing
CIPM certification preferred; SHRM/HRCI is an added advantage
Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and statutory compliance
Experience managing both corporate and site-based employees
Strong communication, negotiation, and HR systems knowledge
