Job Description

NoemDek is seeking a dynamic Business Development Associate to join our growing Transport Division. This role is crucial for driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence.

As a Business Development Associate, you will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strong client relationships, and managing the entire tendering process. You will contribute to strategic development and ensure the successful acquisition of new contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Operations Manager in all sales-related and analytical activities.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify new business opportunities, develop targeted strategies, and coordinate business generation efforts.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of tenders, bids, and proposals, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
  • Track and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations to Tender (ITTs), and Expressions of Interest (EOIs).
  • Represent the company at client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
  • Collaborate with management to set and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Prepare and review contracts, ensuring alignment with legal and company standards.
  • Maintain organized records of revenue, invoicing, and client interactions.
  • Conduct regular market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc./B.A. in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in business development or sales.
  • Prior experience in vehicle leasing or transport services is required.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in preparing and responding to tenders is a strong advantage.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sales and persuasion abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid understanding of transport/logistics market dynamics.
  • Ability to build rapport and foster long-term relationships.
  • Strategic planning and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Typing proficiency of at least 60WPM is an added advantage.
