Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and accomplished Head of Human Resources to lead our client's comprehensive HR strategy and execution within Nigeria's thriving retail and FMCG distribution sector.

This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of human capital management, from talent acquisition and development to fostering a robust organizational culture and ensuring strict compliance with labor laws. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide enterprise-wide HR leadership across all divisions
  • Lead and coordinate Divisional HR Managers to ensure consistent HR delivery
  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Drive organizational culture and employee engagement initiatives
  • Oversee performance management frameworks and employee relations strategy
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws and regulatory requirements
  • Implement scalable HR systems, policies, and operational frameworks
  • Partner with executive leadership on workforce planning and talent strategy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Psychology, or related field
  • CIPM, SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent certification strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 12 years progressive HR experience
  • At least 5 years in senior HR leadership roles
  • Experience leading large or multi-location HR teams
  • Demonstrated success in culture transformation and performance management
  • Retail, FMCG, or high-volume operational sector experience preferred
