Job Description
ProDevs is seeking a meticulous Inventory / Stores & Asset Control Officer to join our operational team. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of our company assets by ensuring accurate inventory tracking, controlled issuance, and regular reconciliation of all stock items. You will play a key part in preventing asset loss, minimizing stock variances, and ensuring proper documentation to support our transport and workshop activities.
Your responsibilities will include maintaining real-time inventory records, controlling stock issuance, conducting physical counts, and preparing timely reports. You will collaborate with procurement and operations teams to optimize stock availability and enforce internal control procedures. Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain real-time inventory records for tyres, spare parts, consumables, and other assets
- Control stock issuance strictly against approved requisitions and authorization processes
- Conduct periodic physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies promptly
- Monitor stock levels and flag slow-moving, obsolete, damaged, or missing items
- Prepare timely inventory and asset control reports
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to ensure optimal stock availability
- Implement proper storage, labeling, and asset identification systems
- Enforce internal control procedures to prevent loss, theft, or mismanagement of assets
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in inventory control, stores management, or asset management
- Strong knowledge of stock control processes, reconciliation, and reporting
- Experience managing spare parts, tyres, or workshop-related inventory is an advantage
- Close attention to detail and strong record-keeping skills
- Ability to enforce compliance and follow approval processes strictly
- Proficiency in inventory management systems or basic tracking tools (Excel or ERP systems)
- Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Benefits & Perks
- Base Salary: 80% of total compensation
- Performance-Based Pay: 20% of total compensation (linked to inventory control KPIs)
