Job Description
We are actively seeking an experienced and proactive Plant Human Resources Officer to join our manufacturing plant in Agbara, Ogun State. This pivotal role involves overseeing the day-to-day HR operations on-site and providing essential operational HR support to plant leadership.
Reporting functionally to the Head of Human Resources at the Head Office, you will be the primary HR representative, ensuring seamless HR processes and fostering a positive work environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing various HR functions, from payroll to employee relations, ensuring compliance and supporting the overall workforce strategy.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll administration, ensuring timely and accurate salary processing for all plant employees.
- Oversee all employee relations matters, including effective grievance handling, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution.
- Monitor employee attendance, administer leave requests, and manage time management processes efficiently.
- Coordinate and provide robust support for the performance management process for all plant employees.
- Drive operational training initiatives, encompassing training coordination, meticulous records management, and compliance.
- Provide comprehensive HR advisory and administrative support to plant leadership and all employees.
- Ensure strict compliance with company policies, relevant labor laws, and established HR best practices.
- Prepare and maintain accurate HR reports, employee records, and all other necessary HR documentation.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and other HR initiatives as required by the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3–4 years of HR generalist experience, with a strong preference for experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll administration, employee relations, performance management, and relevant labor legislation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated high level of integrity, confidentiality, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and various HR Information Systems (HRIS).
- Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) will be considered a significant advantage.
