Job Description
Connected Development (CODE) is seeking a dedicated Programs Officer to join our impactful team. This role is instrumental in the successful design, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of our vital projects aimed at empowering marginalized communities through technology and social accountability. You will play a key part in ensuring transparency and driving better governance.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Research contextual and operational factors impacting project success.
- Collaborate with program and research teams to document project requirements.
- Monitor project objectives, activities, and milestones, preparing regular progress reports.
- Develop work plans and action plans, tracking progress towards project goals.
- Support the creation of promotional and program-related materials.
- Manage project documentation, relational databases, and reporting systems.
- Monitor project expenditures and assist with budget tracking and financial reporting.
- Support fundraising efforts by identifying funding opportunities and contributing to proposals.
- Prepare operational, narrative, and statistical reports for decision-making.
- Support or lead the planning and coordination of program-related meetings, trainings, and conferences.
- Represent CODE at relevant meetings, trainings, and conferences.
- Draft reports, briefs, speeches, grants, and other written materials.
- Provide programmatic, administrative, and financial support to additional CODE projects.
- Perform other related duties to support CODE's mission.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, Project Management, or a related field (Master's degree is an advantage).
- 2-4 years of experience supporting development or civic programs.
- Strong research, monitoring, and reporting skills.
- Experience with budgeting, expenditure tracking, and donor reporting is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
