Job Description

ABM UK is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Customer Care Agents at Manchester Airport.

This role involves a dual focus: maintaining high standards of cleanliness in crew rooms and communal areas, and providing essential assistance to passengers requiring special needs. You will escort passengers through airport procedures, manage wheelchair distribution, and ensure a smooth journey from arrival to their gate, or from the aircraft to baggage claim.

Key responsibilities include assisting transferring passengers, communicating effectively with control teams and stakeholders, and utilizing equipment safely. You will also be expected to record passenger progress, manage company equipment, and report any incidents, all while delivering legendary service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out cleaning duties to a high standard as delegated by the Management Team.
  • Adhere to cleaning protocol and procedures.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Collect passengers from their arrival point and escort them through security, passport control, and to their boarding gate.
  • Ensure wheelchairs are replenished and well distributed.
  • Collect arriving passengers from the aircraft, assist them through immigration, passport control, and to the baggage hall.
  • Greet passengers, ascertain their assistance needs, explain the process, and prepare them for airport procedures.
  • Assist passengers who are transferring flights.
  • Communicate with the control and supervisor team, and liaise with airline and handling agents.
  • Use equipment safely and professionally.
  • Provide manual lifting assistance as required.
  • Record passenger progress using the issued Personal Digital Assistant.
  • Be responsible for all Company equipment issued.
  • Complete an incident/accident report for any issue encountered, including near miss events.
  • Provide legendary service to all passengers.
  • Wear uniform correctly.
  • Carry out any reasonable task requested.

Qualifications

  • Previous work experience as a cleaner is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Must be over 18 years of age.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK with supporting documentation.
  • Must undertake a CTC (Counter Terrorist Check) and CRC (Criminal Record Check).
  • Must provide 5-year checkable referencing history.
  • Must provide police clearance from all countries lived in for more than 6 months in the last 5 years, covering the full date range of the stay.
