Job Description

Soft Services is seeking a Part-Time Customer Experience & Social Community Associate to deliver exceptional support and foster meaningful connections with our customers. This role is pivotal in representing the Soft Services brand across direct support channels and social platforms, ensuring every interaction aligns with our values and enhances customer engagement.

You will be the primary voice of Soft Services in customer communications, engaging authentically and humanely to build strong relationships. This position requires a genuine passion for skincare and a knack for connecting with people online.

Availability during key promotional periods, such as Black Friday, Christmas, and our annual Anniversary sale, is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries across all support channels, offering tailored solutions and product recommendations.
  • Handle refunds and replacements, coordinating with relevant teams for product inspections and follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse and Operations teams to manage order statuses, backorders, and shipping adjustments.
  • Monitor, analyze, and escalate customer feedback, complaints, and trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Partner with the Marketing team on customer engagement initiatives, including giveaways and review collection.
  • Manage tester communications and review collection for the 'Body Project' program.
  • Report weekly and monthly customer service metrics to the Operations and Growth teams.
  • Monitor and respond to comments and direct messages on Instagram and TikTok daily, maintaining the Soft Services brand voice.
  • Proactively engage with customers and community members to build long-term relationships.
  • Identify and flag high-value user-generated content (UGC) and community feedback for amplification.
  • Engage authentically on Reddit within relevant subreddits, contributing product information and answering questions.
  • Track social sentiment trends and surface recurring themes to the broader team.
  • Maintain a consistent, on-brand voice across all social touchpoints.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a direct-to-consumer (DTC) or beauty/skincare environment.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and Reddit, understanding their unique community dynamics.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a clear, empathetic, and adaptable tone.
  • Comfortable engaging publicly on social media platforms on behalf of a brand.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, pattern recognition, and organizational skills for managing high volumes of interactions.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced remote setting.
  • A genuine interest in and knowledge of skincare.
  • Familiarity with the Soft Services brand, voice, and mission.
  • Experience with Shopify and Gorgias is a plus.
