Job Description

Cormart Nigeria Limited is seeking a dynamic Sales Executive to join our team and drive revenue growth for our adhesives portfolio. This role is crucial for expanding market penetration and fostering strong customer relationships.

In this position, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets, identifying and converting new business opportunities, and managing key accounts. You will also play a vital role in understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate adhesive solutions, acting as a key commercial interface for our product offerings.

Your responsibilities will include developing and executing sales plans, growing wallet share within existing accounts, and providing product and technical support. You will also be tasked with gathering market intelligence and maintaining accurate sales records and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve assigned sales targets (volume, revenue, and margin) for the adhesives product range.
  • Identify, develop, and convert new customers and market opportunities across relevant industries.
  • Execute sales plans aligned with unit and company growth objectives.
  • Grow wallet share within existing accounts through cross-selling and upselling.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and decision-makers.
  • Understand customer processes, applications, and pain points to recommend appropriate adhesive solutions.
  • Handle customer inquiries, quotations, negotiations, and order follow-up to ensure timely conversion.
  • Develop strong working knowledge of Cormart’s adhesives portfolio, applications, and competitive positioning.
  • Gather and relay customer feedback, market intelligence, and product performance insights.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing dynamics, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and pipeline updates using approved CRM or reporting tools.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports, opportunity pipelines, and account updates for review.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of open-market sales experience, preferably in adhesives, coatings, or industrial materials.
  • Basic knowledge of adhesive applications and customer use cases (or strong learning agility).
  • Experience with sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Customer-focused and commercially minded.
  • Resilient, proactive, and target-driven.
  • Experience using CRM or sales reporting tools is an advantage.
